In September 2012 (August 31- September 3), a group of expert social psychologists met in Sarajevo, Bosnia-Herzegovina, for an expert group meeting about reconciliation in intergroup contexts. As part of their program they also visited Gallery 11/07/95 where they met Tarik Samarah, photographer and founder of the Gallery, and talked about the genocide in Srebrenica. The meeting was organized by the SSST University (Professor Sabina Ćehajić-Clancy, Ph.D.) andYale University (Dr. Ruth Ditlman). 27 social psychologists at the doctoral, post-doctoral, assistant and full faculty level representing 22 universities in 14 countries actively participated in the meeting. The range of conflict and post-conflict societies where these researchers conduct their research is even larger. Despite this great contextual variety the group repeatedly uncovered psychological processes of relevance everywhere.
